Waiting For Ink To Dry, And Other Typing
While waiting for ink to dry, I sometimes draw junk like this:

M&C Box design: Done. I think we did a solid job on it. Hopefully we'll hear about a delivery date for the figure set within the next few weeks. But who knows.
We've been kept busy the past week or so doing artwork for a show segment. Proposed segment. It's an extension of the production art and character design we worked on recently did for a production, the Network nixed the segment and the producers are trying to rework it as an animated piece. Sarah and I provided a rough animatic storyboard last week and are now finishing up a fairly breakneck series of drawings for the piece. backgrounds, characters, poses, blah blah blah. After our Father's Day outing with family we headed home and I ended up working until about 10:30 in the morning. Woke up, worked a little, got dizzy and sick, fell asleep, got up at midnight, back to the board. Waiting for ink to dry, decided to take a break. Should be done within the hour. If the segment is approved we may end up doing more. We shall see.
Probably going to take a semi-rest/day off tomorrow (well, later today) and detox. Hopped up big-time on Coca-Cola and Krispy Kreme again to pull off the marathon. Feel lousy, especially as I've been really good at kicking the Coke habit the past few weeks. Desperate times call for junk food. Or something of that order. I am weak.
Getting ready for MOCCA, which is this weekend. Always a good time. Have to admit there's nobody I'm excited to meet or see at a distance this year, don't see any killer app(earance) this time around as with the previous years. Still, looking forward to the event. We'll have nothing new to sell, unfortunately, as Biff Bam Pow dragged on and won't be done until this week, most likely. We'll have the most recent set of M&C prototypes to show off, Dork #11 in case anyone missed it, maybe some old merch as I'm cleaning up the basement. Might haul some M&C lunchboxes and magnet sets or what have you, we shall see. I might have copies of I Love You, Beth Cooper and a couple of the DHC horror anthologies. A few copies of the Bongo comics work Sarah and I have written semi-recently. Art for sale, and as usual, the messy pile of layouts, roughs and doodles, starting at fifty cents a pop or so.
Ink must be dry by now. Over and out.
