Hmm... I would have thought something hard to catch would be a fast moving character. I never considered that the ginger bread man could be an ethereal, four-headed spirit.

Dear Evan,
Last year at the stumptown comicfest i asked Allred if he'd sketch me an idea i had for a tattoo that celebrates my belief in creationism. I wanted him to draw it cos he draws jesus a lot. its christ holding open the mouth of a t-rex with a grenade in hand and pin in teeth with a ribbon that says "What would Jesus do?". He wasn't into it and later matt wagner told me he thought he could beat up Mike. Last night friends asked why i havent gotten it yet and I said if Allred didn't do it I really didn't know who could capture the passion of my faith. And then someone says "What about Dorkin?". The lord works in mysterious ways, Evan. What do you say?

Actually, I drew this one almost a year ago, it's the first entry in the second little sketchbook of Monsters. I never finished it because I was afraid I'd screw it up (I have a small stack of Monster drawings I ripped out after 'ruining" them in the coloring stage. Some of them I did over, some are still on the runway for a second -- or third -- shot). I couldn't sleep the other night and just pulled the pad out and colored it. And that's more than anyone wanted to know about it I am sure.
